We are now looking for a Placement Student - Software Engineer to join the Engineering team. We value in-person collaboration here at Matillion, therefore this role follows our hybrid work structure where employees work 2 days a week in our Manchester office. Our core day is Wednesday, and the second day will be determined together.
What you’ll be doing...
- Working within a team, you’ll build, test and deliver new features, fix problems in the products, and work on improvements for customers
- You’ll be working in an agile environment as part of a sprint team to refine and break down user stories for development and offer knowledge of planned work to help plan sprints
- Spending almost all of your time hands-on in the production of software for Matillion products, you’ll be working closely and learning from experienced Engineers
- You’ll also work on development and improvements in confirmation testing, including unit tests, integration tests, API tests and automation.
What we are looking for...
- On course for an Upper Second Class or above in Computer Science or related subject
- Demonstrable programming experience - either as part of your university course or through personal projects
- An eagerness to learn and work as part of a fast-paced team
- Any experience or interest working within AI, SaaS solutions or platforms such as AWS or Kubernetes
