- Experience servicing passive fire systems, including hands-on maintenance, inspection, and installation of passive fire protection products.
- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, legislation, and codes of practice applicable to passive fire systems.

- Full working rights in Australia.
- Carry out maintenance, repair, rectification, installation, and call-out works across passive fire systems, including fire doors, penetration seals, fire dampers, fire collars, batts, and mastic systems.
- Prepare, organise, and transport required tools, consumables, and equipment to site.
- Accurately enter and maintain data in the online job management system and complete compliance documentation, reports, and checklists.
- Report and manage critical and non-critical defect notices, ensuring accurate communication to office personnel.
- Apply technical logic and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve faults and non-conformances.
- Complete assigned jobs on time and to specification, with proactive communication with the office.
- Maintain all required trade licences and regulatory credentials as current.
- Represent Fire Services Queensland professionally on site, maintain client relationships, and respond to site-related queries in a customer-focused manner.
- Comply with WHS policies, site safety obligations, and QMS requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment on all sites.
- Proficiency in electronic job management or field service systems.
- Additional certifications or trade accreditations relevant to the fire safety industry.
- First aid certificate.

Veritas Capital to acquire facilities manager BGIS. July 17, 2026 | John McNulty Veritas Capital has agreed to acquire BGIS from CCMP Capital Advisors and Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo). BGIS runs and maintains buildings and facilities - offices, data centers, and government, healthcare, and industrial sites - for large public and private organizations, handling the engineering, operations, and technology that keep those properties running, a service known in the industry as technical integrated facilities management (IFM). The company oversees more than 65,000 facilities totaling over 620 million square feet globally with a team of more than 12,000. Gord Hicks continues as chief executive officer and will lead the business with his management team. CCMP and AIMCo had backed BGIS since 2019. Veritas Capital, a technology investor focused on companies operating at the intersection of technology and government, manages over $54 billion in assets. James Dimitri, partner and co-head of flagship private equity at Veritas, led the transaction for the firm.
