Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least three years of experience administering financial aid programs is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail are required.
  • Proven success managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously is required.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong, authentic relationships is required.
  • The ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the diversity and backgrounds of students and employees is required.
  • The role must operate within the requirements of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, other applicable regulations, and professional standards.
Responsibilities
  • Lead campus efforts to help students file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, address student loan and financial aid issues, complete verification, and reach paid status before classes begin.
  • Administer and fully utilize the Federal Work-Study Program.
  • Administer scholarships and institutional aid, including the Ivy Tech Grant and Ivy Tech Scholarship, and organize campus scholarship committees.
  • Review emergency aid requests with other campus offices.
  • Organize and serve on campus Satisfactory Academic Progress appeals committees.
  • Manage the campus unusual and special circumstances review process.
  • Conduct financial aid outreach to current and prospective students in the local community.
  • Build relationships with key campus personnel and collaborate with campus enrollment services and student success staff.
  • Supervise, train, and monitor the performance of Financial Aid Staff.
  • Perform other duties logically associated with the position as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • NASFAA Professional Credentials or the Certified Financial Aid Administrator designation is preferred.
