Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable

Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Ruby on Rails Developer to join our growing team.

Role Specific Duties

Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
4-9+ years of experience, which may overlap with education.
A strong interest in working with Ruby on Rails (RoR) is a must.
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
Completion of a Hacker Rank test as part of the screening process
Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.

Bonus/Nice to Haves:

A background in Python.
An interest in DevOps.
Experience with CI/CD
Experience working on Federal projects
Team lead/Leadership experience
