Requirements
  • Two to five years of maintenance, facilities, or related experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
  • Knowledge of equipment operation and general maintenance practices is required.
  • General facilities maintenance and coordination skills are required.
  • Strong observation and surveillance skills are required.
  • Knowledge of workplace and facility safety practices is required.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle items and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds is required.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and complete assignments thoroughly is required.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving history are required.
  • Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions is required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate information to guests, coworkers, and management are required.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team is required.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and other shifts as needed based on resort operations is required.
Responsibilities
  • Close and properly secure designated resort buildings and common areas at the end of the business day.
  • Remove trash and linen from common areas by the end of each shift.
  • Patrol resort buildings and grounds and assist in ensuring guests follow established resort rules and policies.
  • Secure vacant and checked-out guest rooms as required.
  • Clean and maintain resort pools and pool areas.
  • Maintain the accessibility, safety, cleanliness, and appearance of resort buildings and grounds.
  • Pick up litter and remove snow, ice, and debris from walkways, entrances, and parking areas as needed.
  • Perform painting, groundskeeping, general maintenance, and routine repair work.
  • Complete special requests, including transporting materials, moving furniture, setting up furnishings, preparing rooms for occupancy, completing repairs, and installing replacement parts.
  • Identify maintenance or safety concerns and report or correct them as appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established procedures, rules, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Maintain and expand job knowledge by participating in training opportunities and reviewing technical materials as needed.
  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to guests, coworkers, and other departments.
  • Perform other maintenance-related duties and special projects as assigned based on resort needs.
