  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of marketing experience; cannabis industry experience preferred
  • Ability to perform and thrive in environments with minimal process and structure, and comfort with managing through ambiguity

  • Strong numerical and analytical skill set with ability to interpret quantitative data

Responsibilities
  • Retail division, the company is seeking a Senior Manager, Regional Marketing (IL/AZ) to join our retail team based in the Chicagoland area. In this role, you will lead marketing strategy and activation for the region in service of recruiting new patients/shoppers, retaining existing patients/shoppers and building brand awareness for the Sunnyside
  • Brand. This position will work closely with cross-functional partners across sales, compliance, operations, marketing and many others to drive key initiatives and deliver results
  • Be the expert on the brands and business, and cannabis category. Share that knowledge and passion with others
  • Regional Marketing Strategy:
  • Lead the development of marketing annual operating plans that ladder back up to annual business goals, identifying key strategic imperatives and cascading to core tactical brand initiatives
  • Oversee and execute the strategy, creative development and campaign execution for all region marketing plans including regional promotions and loyalty programs, brand-building campaigns, new store openings and wholesale brand launches
  • Serve as the key representative for the Sunnyside* brand across the region, and present brand strategies and plans to senior leadership
  • Provide input and brand expertise in developing the promotions and loyalty activation calendar with key stakeholders
  • Manage internal and external agency and design partner relationships in service of the development and execution of all brand communications and integrated marketing campaigns across all channels
  • Create and execute all regional email and text marketing, ultimately becoming a subject matter expert of email and text marketing platforms. Includes editing, proofing, scheduling, and sending email and text campaigns
  • Develop the Community Outreach & Events strategy to ensure brand visibility, increased patient referrals, and education of the patient community, physicians, and caregivers across the markets
  • Performance Measurement:
  • Measure effectiveness of spend, performing ROI analysis on working spend
  • Ownership and management of region marketing budget, tracking all brand related expenses throughout the year
  • Own regional channel optimization and measurement plan, including analyzing prior campaign performance results to inform go-forward campaign strategy
  • Serve as a key stakeholder in demand and financial forecasting and relevant reporting
  • Competitive Analysis & Insights:
  • Perform quarterly competitive analysis (experience, pricing, loyalty, new customer tactics) and develop recommendations to improve Sunnyside competitiveness
  • Distill competitor and patient insights to validate and optimize brand objectives and strategies
  • Understand and ensure compliance of all state rules/regulations, working closely with our internal compliance partners to ensure regulations are met
