  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (engineering, construction, business, or related field) OR relevant experience in electrical estimating, quotations, or project coordination.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical distribution, switchgear, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bid packages.
  • Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP or estimation software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with sales teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to learn, grow, and deliver results.
Responsibilities
  • Estimate Development: Review blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate time, material, and labor estimates for switchgear projects.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with engineering and production teams to ensure designs are practical and align with LFG’s manufacturing capabilities.
  • Quotations & Proposals: Generate professional, competitive proposals that meet customer requirements while supporting profitability and long-term partnerships.
  • Vendor & Supplier Relations: Issue RFQs, secure competitive pricing, negotiate with suppliers, and recommend alternatives where appropriate.
  • Customer Engagement: Work alongside sales to strategize on bids, clarify requirements, and support customers through the quoting process.
  • Value Engineering: Identify opportunities to optimize designs and reduce costs without sacrificing quality or performance.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Maintain historical cost databases, supplier information, and ensure accurate documentation of all bids and proposals.
  • Follow-Up: Track open quotes, support transition from awarded projects, and provide input on post-project reviews.
