View

Tailwind Insurance Systems builds an AI-powered loss run retrieval platform for commercial insurance brokerages. It automates the full loss-run retrieval process by connecting to thousands of carriers, wholesalers, and MGAs to fetch loss runs for new business and renewals. It offers one-click, mobile-friendly authorization letters and BOR letters, and then creates client-facing loss summaries and trend analysis reports. The platform integrates with an agency management system (AMS) or CRM to exchange data, and emphasizes enterprise-grade security with SOC 2 certification. The company aims to save brokers time and resources by replacing manual, tedious tasks with automated, secure workflows. Compared with competitors, Tailwind focuses on end-to-end automation, carrier connectivity at scale, seamless AMS/CRM integration, and strong security credentials.

What believers are saying

  • Tailwind posted 100% uptime in March 2026, showing stable operational execution.
  • Hiring eight roles in 2026 suggests active growth across sales, product, and implementation.
  • Demand rises as brokers replace PDF-heavy workflows with automated AMS and CRM integrations.

What critics are saying

  • Tailwind still reports only $50K raised since March 2024, limiting scale and runway.
  • San Francisco, five-day in-person hiring signals heavy burn before proven retention or revenue depth.
  • If carriers block automation or brokers switch tools, Tailwind's retrieval moat collapses quickly.

What makes Tailwind Insurance Systems unique

  • Tailwind automates loss-run retrieval across 1,000s of carriers, wholesalers, and MGAs.
  • It pairs retrieval with loss summaries, trend analysis, quote comparison, and policy checking.
  • SOC2 certification and Microsoft Partner verification strengthen enterprise trust for broker workflows.
