- Maintains professional knowledge of current trends and developments in IT and healthcare field
- Overseeing upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance for assigned application areas and Epic instance
- Coordinates the technical aspects of the implementation, including hardware, processes and decisions, and the project plan; participates in project scope and strategic direction discussions
- Requires strong organization and project management and has a technical background with a general understanding of the technical infrastructure and staff, including servers, storage, network, and desktop support teams
- Provides additional level of coordination and communication in their assigned team
- EPIC certification in HIM, Hospital Billing, and/or Professional Billing

Hoag hospital in Newport Beach, California, has become the first in the state to implement Philips LumiGuide technology for endovascular surgery. The technology uses light-based imaging instead of X-rays to visualise devices inside the body, reducing radiation exposure for patients whilst providing surgeons with greater precision during minimally invasive procedures. The enhanced visuals allow physicians to navigate more efficiently, resulting in shorter procedure times. Hoag currently uses LumiGuide technology for complex aortic aneurysm repairs, with future applications anticipated across other advanced vascular procedures. Hoag physicians testing promising options for the diagnosis and treatment of glioblastoma (GBM), the deadliest form of brain cancerNEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Jan. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading the forefront of neuro-oncology and neuroscience innovation, Hoag Family Cancer Institute and Hoag's Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute are involved in two clinical trials for the diagnosis and treatment of glioblastoma (GBM), a brain tumor with a 5% five-year survival rate.The LIBERATE study (NCT05383872), sponsored by INSIGHTEC, evaluates the use of Focused Ultrasound (FUS) as a way to temporarily open blood-brain barrier (BBB), a protective inner layer of the blood vessels in the brain, to enable liquid biopsies in patients with GBM. Liquid biopsy is an emerging method of collecting and analyzing biomarkers through a simple blood test instead of an invasive surgical biopsy, and the information can be used for more reliable diagnosis and to plan treatment options.
