  • 10 years of related experience
  • Extensive technology performance, capacity, and optimization experience
  • Thorough knowledge of a variety of technical architecture (InterSystems Products preferred)
  • Experience with engineering enterprise-level solutions for VA technology implementations and support programs including VISTA and/or federal government programs is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Analyze technical and architectural system requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance constraints
  • Create a technical and architectural system vision for high volume and high availability networks and systems
  • Provide guidance to other technical staff on technical and architectural system vision
  • Serve as arbiter for system design choices of software developers
  • Advise technical staff on compliance with standards and enforce standards and practices within the team
  • Recommend technical architectures, model design, development patterns, migration strategies, upgrade procedures, and operational best practices
  • Perform review of diagrams, enterprise and application architecture for compliance and compatibility
  • Advise on re-architecture of existing systems, applications, and solutions
  • Work with Product Management teams to mitigate the need for customizations
  • Attend Architectural GAB discussions, upgrade discussions, VDIF-NEXT weekly meetings, and relevant conferences
