The Role
We’re looking for an Outbound New Business Executive to join our Partnerships team to help us grow our new business accounts. Our Partnerships team is a large contributor to the success of the Plum Guide and represents our brand to a wide array of travel partners around the world, including luxury travel agents and entertainment & production companies.
You will be dedicated, detail oriented and an engaging communicator with partners, to reach their target and represent the premium service model of our brand. You will use a proactive and entrepreneurial approach to build on an existing portfolio that will make you the go-to person for their clients. You will be expected to represent Plum in calls, meetings and presentations.
You will fully own a pipeline of new and prospective partners, working with colleagues in the partnership team to ensure you are growing and getting the best out of your accounts. You will also be responsible for optimising any existing connections within your accounts and owning the day to day relationship.
It’s an exciting time to join the team as we continue to grow and deliver on our mission. The Outbound New Business Executive will be key as we generate and nurture new partnerships. This is a role that will enhance and develop skills quickly, and provide opportunities for progression within new business and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Grow a portfolio of new business by setting up and attending meetings and webinars, as well as pitching Plum
- Key business development ensuring to maximise current key accounts by identifying and developing those that offer growth
- Manage the accounts to increase engagement and drive repeat bookings
- Identifying and developing new business and partnership opportunities
- Work closely with the partners and partnership team to ensure delight is delivered at all times
- Participate in weekly partnership meetings and weekly 1:1 with the Head of Partnerships
- Attending networking events with the intention of attracting and retaining clientele
- Collating information for growth plans for individual accounts
Qualifications and experience
- 2+ years experience in luxury sales or the entertainment industry - bonus points if you have existing relationships within these spaces.
- Experience of working in the travel industry and confidently delivering pitches
- From a strong sales background and are gregarious, diligent and resourceful
- A hustler - ultimately we are still a startup and things aren’t always perfect. We need someone that can identify solutions without always having the exact information on hand
- Results-driven - a target gets you out of bed and you’ve mastered the art of building rapport and forming relationships, whilst being able to maintain a number of priorities
- Digitally savvy - you know how to make contacts through social media, networks and can prospect online whilst representing the brand through all platforms
- Creative - you have an entrepreneurial and proactive mindset
- Engaging - you are emotionally intelligent, clear, compelling, and charismatic
- Highly organised - you are able to track and report your progress and your clients
