Requirements

  • A Florida notary certification is required.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all teller functions comply with policies and security standards.
  • Maintain professional teller operations, including balancing and securing funds.
  • Monitor cash levels, maintain negotiable-item inventory, and manage cash dispense machines.
  • Provide prompt and professional member service.
  • Resolve member requests, problems, and questions, and offer credit union products and services.
  • Refer member requests to colleagues with higher authority when appropriate.
  • Process transactions, open new accounts, and handle consumer loans from start to finish.
  • Provide peer-to-peer coaching, delegation, and communication with leadership support.
  • Train and support Member Experience Professional I peers to promote performance and professional growth within the branch.
  • Provide glow-and-grow feedback regarding team performance and peer development.
  • Handle special projects delegated by the leader.
  • Address complex transactions and sensitive member-relations issues.
  • Investigate and correct teller out-of-balance conditions.
  • Support personnel with daily operations and member interactions.
  • Manage the front lobby desk, member wait-time exceptions, and quick transactions.
  • Communicate product and service features and benefits, educate members on financial responsibility, and promote additional products and services.
  • Conduct outbound member-service and sales calls following the 2/2/2 program.
  • Perform financial transactions accurately and securely.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and check cashing.
  • Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals.
  • Build a network of member contacts through qualified leads and referrals.
  • Promote credit union objectives and deepen business relationships.
  • Ensure membership documents meet quality-control standards.
  • Maintain compliance with policies including the Customer Identification Program, Office of Foreign Assets Control, and ChexSystems.
  • Maintain and enhance financial business acumen through ongoing training and self-development.
  • Coordinate teller duties with related functions and communicate with management.
  • Suggest service improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain flexibility to support branch needs.
  • Complete department-related projects and reports.
  • Review membership applications and submit qualified referrals for credit union products and services.
  • Review and submit the monthly Teller Over/Short report to the Branch Service Manager.
  • Assist with or complete the Internal Verification Program and submit the packet to the Branch Service Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
