  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong judgment, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where assumptions change and systems must be built from the ground up.
  • A willingness to remain hands-on rather than delegating the core analytical work.
  • Ability to work in person with the Verlo team in St. John's.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain Verlo's integrated operating model.
  • Own revenue, expense, hiring, cash flow, and runway forecasts.

  • Build and maintain a detailed map of the US wealth-management market.
  • Segment registered investment advisers by assets, firm size, geography, broker-dealer affiliation, ownership, rollup participation, and other relevant characteristics.
  • Quantify Verlo's addressable market and identify the segments with the greatest revenue potential.
  • Develop account-prioritization and territory-planning frameworks.
  • Track market consolidation, acquisitions, regulatory developments, competitive activity, and platform affiliations.
  • Combine regulatory, CRM, financial, and third-party information into a coherent view of the market.

  • Prepare decision materials for leadership and the board.
  • Support fundraising, investor reporting, diligence, and strategic transactions.
  • Turn incomplete or ambiguous information into practical recommendations.
  • Present complex analysis clearly to financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Define consistent financial and operating metrics across the company.
  • Improve the connection between Verlo's accounting, CRM, product, marketing, and market-intelligence systems.
  • Build dashboards and recurring reporting that make important trends easy to understand.
  • Automate recurring analysis and reporting where practical.
  • Establish appropriate financial controls, documentation, and planning processes.
  • Partner with engineering and operations on data infrastructure rather than functioning as the company's data engineer.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in fintech, wealth management, financial services, or enterprise software.
  • Experience with regulatory or market datasets.
  • Familiarity with registered investment advisers, broker-dealers, custodians, and wealth-management platforms.

Verlo provides an AI-powered CRM for wealth management. It automatically updates client data by syncing with custodians (like Schwab and Fidelity), document storage, calendars, and communication tools, and can join and transcribe meetings to generate notes and action items, with an AI chat that answers questions using cited data. It stands out by delivering a self-updating, data-connected view that unifies contacts, pipelines, tasks, documents, and meeting histories in one place for advisors. Its goal is to reduce administrative work, improve efficiency, and strengthen client relationships through a centralized, data-driven view of client information and interactions.
