- Significant outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience is required; home health and skilled nursing backgrounds are not considered a clinical fit.
- At least 50% of session time must be devoted to hands-on manual therapy.
- Complete at least two physical therapy continuing education classes per year during the last two years, including one or two manual therapy-focused classes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in patient retention and development, including maintaining patients on schedule, attracting new patients, and securing referrals from existing patients.
- Provide one-hour, one-on-one patient care in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
- Deliver manual therapy for at least 50% of each session.
- Maintain patients on their treatment schedule, attract new patients, and secure referrals from existing patients.
- Complete charting during paid charting time using advanced artificial intelligence-generated notes as applicable.
- Participate in regular in-house training held biweekly and quarterly.
- Possess or actively pursue an advanced manual therapy certification such as Certified Functional Manual Therapist, Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, or Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist.
