Requirements

Responsibilities
  • The Advanced Practice Provider will provide health care services to patients in collaboration with a licensed physician member of the medical staff and will work within the parameters of a standard care or supervisory agreement with an attending physician member of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
  • Collaborates with a physician(s) and other clinicians in providing a full scope of patient care.
  • The focus is on preventive health or the management of acute and/or stable chronic conditions.
  • Performs medical services that have been specifically authorized and directed by the credentialing body and the certifying organization through which they hold licensure.
  • The APP provides health care services to patients working in collaboration with a licensed physician member of the medical staff, including care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education, and counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention, and referral to other healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate.
  • The APP will work clinically on the Hematology 3 (Lymphoma work up and complications) and Classical Hematology (Sickle Cell, ITP, TTP, etc.) services.
  • The APP will use internal medicine knowledge to take care of these patients along with learning about the nuances of the workup process and chemotherapy for both newly diagnosed and established lymphoma patients.
