About the Role
We recently brought the Uber Shuttle magic to the US and Canada. Now we are looking to expand the US based team to continue growing as fast as possible! This team targets the B2B space to help companies solve the return to office challenge and to provide riders with an easy, reliable and safe way to get to work. This is an opportunity to be a part of a startup within an established company and to help shape this team and this product offering for the US and Canadian markets.
As a Sr. Business Development Representative on the Uber Shuttle team, you will pursue new B2B prospects by effectively communicating the value proposition of the platform. The Sr. Business Development Role will be a critical part of our ability to identify, qualify and serve customers in this space, and plays an important role in ensuring we have a consistent, strong pipeline of new prospects and opportunities to fuel growth. You will be responsible for building a new business pipeline, while working in close partnership with our Uber Shuttle Sales Specialists.
An ideal candidate is a self-starter who has a hard-working mentality, is detail oriented, professionally persistent and creative. A proven track record of calling into multiple stakeholders within Enterprise level accounts and strategizing around creating value for potential target prospects will be critical.
What You’ll Do
- Generate new business opportunities to fuel the pipeline and qualify sales opportunities with assigned Uber Shuttle Sales Specialists
- Research and develop Uber Shuttle accounts by networking and partnering with other U4B sales representatives at Uber
- Outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, Groove flows and marketing campaigns
- Hit assigned Key Performance Metrics that are not limited to, but including set expectations of Sales Qualified Leads (SQL’s) per month, and average deal size of those opportunities
- Uncover a prospect’s business challenges and identify relevant new business opportunities, while highlighting the Uber Shuttle value proposition
- Conduct high-level qualifying and discovery conversations with key buying personas at targeted client accounts
- Manage, track, and report on all sales activities and results using Salesforce
- Work closely with Uber Shuttle Sales Specialists and sales management to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business
- Collaborate with the sales team to share standard methodologies and make recommendations to more effectively close sales and ensure customer dedication
- Work effectively with internal departments to deliver the best solution for the client and ensure a magical experience
Basic Qualifications
- At least 2 years of previous B2B cold-calling sales/business development experience
- Experience selling to Global and US enterprise accounts
- Experience with email campaigns (Salesforce or Groove a plus)
- Ability to build outstanding customer relationships
- Impeccable interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Have a positive, hard-working team-first mentality with a desire to learn
- You’re a self-starter and take initiative to seize opportunities: The Uber Shuttle team is evolving every day and requires highly motivated independent individuals who will be responsible for aspects beyond their day-to-day role
- Methodical persistence and creativity for penetrating new organizations and whitespace account
- Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom Info and Groove preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience pitching transportation related products
- High comfort level with closing deals over video conferencing solutions, phone, in person, and at tradeshows
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$72,000 per year - USD$80,000 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$80,000 per year - USD$88,750 per year.
