Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience with EMI, EMC, Computational Electromagnetics, RF Engineering, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) instructions, standards, policies, and procedures, Defense Acquisition Engineering, E3, EMI, and EMC testing, EMI problem investigation, or Spectrum EMI and EMC analysis and assessments
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in EE or Science
  • Experience with U.S. Navy shipboard topside equipment
  • Experience with test equipment
  • Knowledge of analysis tools, including MATLAB
Responsibilities
  • Assess electromagnetic integration challenges and solutions space for radar and other sensor systems on current Navy platforms and platforms in development.
  • Provide total life cycle support for systems beginning with up-front Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) engineering support during development.
  • Conduct characterization analyses and develop mitigation options for predictions of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) with new and installed systems in both SCN and In-service designs with a focus on radar systems.
  • Support other engineers to perform tasks, when necessary.
  • Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge.
  • Develop and contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
