Requirements
  • At least one year of experience as a member of a state or federal recovery operation, or equivalent experience commensurate with the ability to perform the necessary duties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to maintain a high standard for protecting client information and adhere to strict professional ethics and boundaries.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and coordinate Individual Assistance Programs.
  • Perform intake and assessments, and gather documents to establish disaster program eligibility, including payments and withdrawals or denials.
  • Review, analyze, evaluate, and coordinate eligibility determinations.
  • Coordinate eligibility and payments through the Federal Disaster System.
  • Review cases to ensure proper processing.
  • Mediate complex problem resolution.
  • Function as a liaison and applicant advocate.
  • Provide resources and referrals to clients to meet their disaster-related unmet needs.
  • Provide assistance to applicants throughout the application process.
  • Maintain client-related data systems, including case notes and complete system-of-record entries.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of applicable program policies and requirements.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
