- At least one year of experience as a member of a state or federal recovery operation, or equivalent experience commensurate with the ability to perform the necessary duties.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Implement and coordinate Individual Assistance Programs.
- Perform intake and assessments, and gather documents to establish disaster program eligibility, including payments and withdrawals or denials.
- Review, analyze, evaluate, and coordinate eligibility determinations.
- Coordinate eligibility and payments through the Federal Disaster System.
- Review cases to ensure proper processing.
- Mediate complex problem resolution.
- Function as a liaison and applicant advocate.
- Provide resources and referrals to clients to meet their disaster-related unmet needs.
- Provide assistance to applicants throughout the application process.
- Maintain client-related data systems, including case notes and complete system-of-record entries.
- Maintain a complete understanding of applicable program policies and requirements.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Basic knowledge of the FEMA Disaster Case Management Program.
