Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the following: Guides, directs, and oversees all shipping dock operations and its hourly employees and has the responsibility to run the stack off manifesting and palletizer manifesting in an efficient manner to attain the desired load goals of the Material Handling System.

This position is directly responsible for the safe manner of operations, housekeeping, and GMPs of the dock; check all in and out-going trailers for correct trailer numbers, trailer set-up, temperature, cleanliness, correct loading patterns, airflows, and other customer requirements,

Knowledge of WMS functions required to keep a smooth flow of product to the trailer.

Other responsibilities include:

• Keep accurate records of load out rates hour by hour and exception tracking that inhibits attainment of goals set forth by Material Handling downtime.
• Maintain tracking of open tabs audit for data accumulation and correlation by dept. management.
• Validate stacker sheet totals match manifested product and investigate error and correct any deficiencies.
• Ensure that all order paperwork is taken and received from Load Coordinator.
• Assist the supervisor in directing the dock workforce, including but not limited to: Safety SOPs, training load out goals, weight shifts, and weight take offs.
• Set-up, monitor, and ensure completion of box loads meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Any other duties deemed necessary by management,
• Follow all SOPs set by department management.
• Assist the supervisor in training team members for successful operation of the shipping department.

All team members are responsible for safety; This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety for self and all other Tyson team members and or contractors performing work; must use and wear appropriate safety equipment at all times. Cross train in other areas of Material Handling and learning all aspects of shipping and inventory.

C Shift: Nights (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma, vocational school, or equivalent with high school subject matter such as mathematics, grammar, and office equipment and business practices preferred.

Experience: Minimal 6 months in Distribution with shipping products.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel with an understanding of the system features and how to use these features.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Overall knowledge of how shipping and the inventory system works.
