The Department of Stem Cell Transplant is currently seeking a temporary Sr. Manager, Financial Counseling to work up to 20 hours in Miami. The Manager, Financial Counseling provides direction and support to department staff and ensures the effective operation of all patient financial services to guarantee the delivery of complete and accurate services.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Acts as a facilitator in determining deferral of elective services based upon policy guidelines.
2. Serves as expert in the terms and guidelines of all governmental and supplemental funding sources available to patients and educates staff on variations.
3. Provides patient liability estimates to improve financial outcomes for the organization.
4. Plans, implements, evaluates system changes, program enhancements, and resources.
5. Analyzes and consolidates financial data and performs trend analysis.
6. Collaborates with relevant departments, agencies, insurance payer representatives, and vendors.
7. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required

Experience:
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience required

Certification and Licensing:

• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
