Requirements
- A Bachelor of Arts degree in Design or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in web and mobile design is required.
- Complete fluency with industry design tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Sketch to develop all phases of user interface design is required.
- The ability to communicate effectively, take criticism, and iterate based on feedback is required.
- A deep understanding of user experience and the ability to demonstrate its importance through the work is required.
- Experience transforming complex problems into smooth, seemingly simple user flows is required.
- A portfolio demonstrating design principles and contemporary design trends is required.
- Experience designing dashboards and data visualizations is required.
- A strong understanding of responsive web design is required.
- A solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3, including their usage and limitations, is required.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology is required.
- Experience performing user research, developing personas and user journeys, developing wireframes, and creating prototypes is required.
- Only OPT work authorization is accepted.
Responsibilities
- Work as a consultant with a larger team or independently.
- Gather requirements and data, understand abstract concepts, and interpret them through effective user interface and user experience design addressing user and client needs.
- Design responsively for both mobile and desktop formats.
- Design wireframes, user flows, information architecture, and prototypes, and perform usability studies.
- Collaborate with UX designers, frontend and backend teams, product owners, project managers, clients, and their customers to create user experiences for complex web products.
- Time-box the design process and work effectively within those constraints.
- Create interactive solutions within scope.
- Solve complex user interface problems with elegant, contemporary design.
- Communicate professionally and transparently.
- Complete assigned work.
