Role overview:
The Nursa Product and Engineering team is looking for an experienced Sr. Backend Engineer to build and scale existing and novel features/functionality for our growing marketplace app.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for scaling and maintaining our growing backend architecture
Improve backend codebase by developing performant and maintainable backend features
Analyze, support, and propose decisions around frameworks, tools, and best practices
Identify components, frameworks and best-in-class patterns for integration within our growing marketplace
Participate in the development of systems necessary to build high performance, scalable and secure applications
Work with engineering teams to streamline deployments, automate functions, and secure the overall landscape
Qualifications:
4+ years of relevant experience building and scaling consumer facing applications
Experience with Node.js preferred
Cloud infrastructure development experience, GCP a plus
Strong experience scaling backend systems
Experience in Healthcare or a two sided marketplace is a plus
Experience with Git source control and ideally cloud based Git providers such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
Strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms
Experience with working within a compliance framework and ensuring compliance requirements are met
Self-starter that identifies problems, brings solutions, and is not afraid to step in and start working
Demonstrate use of out-of-box thinking for creative solutions to complex problems
