Requirements

  • Ability to assess operational priorities and make timely decisions in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, patients, families, and hospital departments.
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple operational priorities while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations and operational issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification.
Responsibilities
  • Provide as-needed administrative and clinical oversight to support hospital operations during assigned shifts.
  • Coordinate patient flow, staffing resources, and bed assignments during assigned shifts.
  • Conduct hospital rounds to assess operational needs and provide support to clinical units.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and ancillary departments to facilitate patient throughput and continuity of care.
  • Respond to Code Blue, Rapid Response, and other emergency situations as needed.
  • Assist with staffing adjustments based on patient census, acuity, and operational priorities.
  • Serve as an operational resource for nursing staff and hospital departments during assigned shifts.
  • Escalate operational, staffing, patient safety, or clinical concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Support patient and family concerns requiring administrative assistance.
  • Document operational activities and significant events in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Comply with all regulatory, safety, infection control, and quality standards.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned based on operational needs.
