Requirements
  • 4+ years of direct hands-on experience in an Human Resources role, preferably in a small, dynamic business environment
  • You're awesome at talking to people (writing and speaking), a whiz at sorting out disagreements, and a pro at getting everyone on the same page.
  • You can spot HR issues before they even become big deals, untangle tricky situations, and come up with smart, quick, and fair solutions. You're good at figuring things out even when it's fuzzy.
  • You're comfortable with HR software for managing employee info and benefits. Bonus points if you know your way around Rippling!
  • You're incredibly neat and pay close attention to details so everything's always correct and by the book.
  • HR can be wild, so you need to be flexible and able to roll with whatever comes your way—new tasks, changing priorities, and updated rules.
  • You're up-to-date on all the latest HR trends, employment laws, and best practices in things like hiring, pay, performance, and keeping employees happy. And you're always learning!
Responsibilities
  • You'll team up with hiring managers to figure out who we need, then handle everything from screening resumes and scheduling interviews to making offers and helping new folks get settled in smoothly.
  • You'll use cool tools and market info to help managers set fair and competitive salaries. Plus, you'll be in charge of all our awesome benefits like health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, and other fun perks.
  • You'll help run our performance review process, which means getting the word out, collecting all the necessary information, and keeping an eye on everyone's progress.
  • You'll help set up and run different training programs, from keeping us compliant to helping us grow professionally. You'll also help figure out what training we need, find good trainers, schedule sessions, and track who's participating.
  • You'll keep our employee records in Rippling (our HR system) super organized and up-to-date. You'll also handle all leave requests (like FMLA or personal time off), manage attendance, and take care of other important HR admin tasks to keep things running smoothly and accurately.
  • You'll work with everyone – employees and managers – to come up with and put into action ideas that boost morale, make people feel like they belong, and generally make OddBytes a great place to work so folks stick around.
  • This means you may be part of some sensitive chats. You'll need to be great at building trust, helping people work through disagreements, keeping things confidential, and giving helpful feedback to everyone, from new hires to top management.
  • You'll make sure we're always following all the tricky labor laws, workplace rules, and our own company policies. This means staying on top of federal, state, and local employment laws, keeping accurate records, and updating our policies to make sure we're always fully compliant and avoid any legal headaches.
