About the Team: 

The launch team based at the Cape is responsible for activities such as launch pad operations, vehicle integration, payload integration, launch and recovery operations, and more. The role of Apprentice, Facilties Techncician will report through the Facilities Operations organizations, and this role will support the facilities team with general operations, including field and in-office work. To succeed in this role, you should be someone who thrives in ambiguity and can perform with little direction. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional who can undertake various office and facility support tasks and work diligently under pressure. The ideal candidate will require a high degree of attention to detail and discretion and the incorporation of new and effective ways to achieve better results.​

About the Role:

• Maintaining office equipment as needed
• Maintaining supply inventory (drinks, snacks, ink, paper, etc.)
• Support inventory stocking and ordering of material, food, etc.  
• Assist facility team engineers and technicians with fieldwork, including but not limited to landscaping, site preparation groundwork, facility system maintenance, etc.
• Perform hardware, tooling, or other material pickup/dropoff outside of CCSFS 
• Greeting third parties and deliveries
• Helping organize and maintain office common areas
• Maintaining and entering information into databases

About You:

• High school diploma
• Experience as a back-office assistant, general helper, or in a related role 
• Expierence in basic computer skills, including MS Office applications 
• Expirence with office equipment operation 
• Possession of a valid driver’s license 

Nice to haves but not required: 

• Associate degree
• Experience working on a military or government site 
• Strong organizational and time management abilities 
• Analytical skills and capability in problem-solving 
• Capability to perform effectively with minimal supervision
