Requirements
  • Experience in supplier quality engineering, metals manufacturing such as stamping or spring forming, quality systems, audits, process validation, and data-driven performance monitoring.
  • Experience with metal stampings and spring forming, material selection, design for manufacturability, cosmetic criteria definition, and process qualification.
  • Experience in supplier selection, supplier production part approval process, design of experiments, process capability analysis, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility, control plans, statistical process control, and inspection procedure development.
  • Experience in supplier performance monitoring and improvement.
  • Experience with supplier quality management systems, process audits, and for-cause audits.
  • Ability to set goals and complete assignments in a timely, effective, and high-quality manner.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, complaint handling, and the regulatory framework under 21 CFR Part 820 and Part 11.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver supplier quality engineering support for Metals category sourcing strategies and continuity of production.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators and other supplier-quality metrics.
  • Develop and deploy dashboards and visualizations to support supplier-quality metrics.
  • Develop risk management strategies to mitigate product and compliance risks.
  • Lead supplier quality engineering efforts in sustaining projects involving cost reduction, capacity increase, dual sourcing, and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with suppliers, including sub-tier suppliers, and supply chain management to drive supplier performance and accountability.
  • Lead root cause analysis of supplier-related nonconforming product issues and resolve quality concerns through Supplier Corrective Action Reports.
  • Drive corrective action and supplier improvement activities for assigned suppliers.
  • Coordinate the review, technical assessment, and documentation of supplier change requests.
  • Interface with internal departments, suppliers, contractors, and other external parties on supplier quality, quality systems, materials, product support, and audit support.
  • Communicate supplier quality performance metrics, status, and requirements to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on the selection of qualified suppliers and improve supplier performance across a global footprint.
