Responsibilities
  • Use hand tools (e.g. crimpers, strippers, torquing tools, calibrating tools, etc.) to perform tasks.
  • Run and bundle wires according to Powell wiring standards.
  • Layout, install, drill and tap devices onto doors and back pans.
  • Install name plates and space heaters.
  • Install and terminate CTs.
  • Install communication cables, CAT 5 and CAT 6 cables, fiber optic and BriteSpot
  • Operate continuity buzzers.
  • Terminate and run wire for MCC, SWGR, and harnesses according to wire diagram.
  • Perform in process inspections
  • Read and understand single and three-line drawings, including symbols
  • Assist in root cause analysis on engineering changes and correct discrepancies
  • Assist small teams of employees to complete a specific task assigned as assigned by lead wireperson and/or supervisor
