What Taskrabbit does: It is a platform that connects clients (homeowners, renters, and small businesses) with Taskers who can perform household and personal tasks, such as cleaning, assembly, repairs, errands, and more. How its product works: Clients post tasks on the website or mobile app, Taskers bid on those tasks with competitive rates, and the platform takes a service fee on each completed task. The service emphasizes same-day assistance and offers a Happiness Pledge to guarantee customer satisfaction. How it differs from competitors: It operates as a bid-based marketplace focused on on-demand home services, with a built-in customer satisfaction guarantee and a mobile-first experience that makes it easy to find and hire help quickly. What the company’s goal is: To provide a reliable, efficient way for people to get skilled help for a wide range of tasks, aligning revenue with successful, satisfactory matches for both clients and Taskers.

Bio Bidet survey finds Interest in bidets, announces Taskrabbit Partnership. August 21, 2026 Bio Bidet by Bemis (Bio Bidet), a leading manufacturer and retailer of bidet seats and attachments, has released results from its fifth annual U.S. consumer bidet use survey, revealing strong and growing demand for bidets for current owners and non-owners. To help remove one of the biggest reported barriers to adoption, Bio Bidet also announced a new partnership with Taskrabbit, the global platform connecting people to skilled, reliable Taskers and giving consumers nationwide an easier way to book professional bidet installation. Survey at a glance: 1,008 U.S. adults ages 18+ surveyed in June 2026 by Propeller Insights on behalf of Bio Bidet by Bemis; margin of error of 2%. Growing Bidet Curiosity Interest in bidets is climbing among Americans who haven't yet made the switch: - 42% of Americans who have never used a bidet are interested in trying one - Nearly 75% of non-owners say an at-home bidet would be beneficial - 36% plan to add a bidet to their bathroom in the future Bidet Barriers Although bidets have a good track record for converting non-users, unfamiliarity keeps many consumers from taking the first step: - 25% say they've simply never considered owning a bidet - 20% aren't sure how bidets work - 27% have concerns about installation Bio Bidet by Bemis and Taskrabbit Partnership To help bidet-curious consumers overcome unease about access and installation, Bio Bidet has partnered with Taskrabbit. Customers nationwide can now book local skilled Taskers for bidet installation, making enhanced everyday comfort and cleanliness more accessible than ever. "The survey results show that it's not a matter of if a consumer will like a bidet, but when they will try one," said TJ Stiefvater, vice president of marketing at Bio Bidet. "Our job is to remove the barriers that keep people from trying one in the first place. It's why we're dedicated to making consumer-centric product enhancements and building partnerships like the one with Taskrabbit to make bidet ownership easier and more seamless for our customers."

Urban Company review 2023: can you really earn $1000+ monthly?

Urban Company review 2023: can you really earn $1000+ monthly? home_services gig_economy local_business Can Urban Company help you earn a steady income with flexible hours? Explore the potential, pitfalls, and reality of working with this local services platform. Urban Company: the gig platform transforming local services. Urban Company is a powerhouse in the gig economy, offering a platform for service professionals to connect with clients looking for everything from home cleaning to beauty treatments. Founded in 2014, the company has rapidly expanded to operate in multiple countries, including India, Australia, and the UAE. With backing from robust funding rounds, it's a major player in the home service industry. But can it deliver the earnings you need? Let's break it down. The real scoop on earnings. When starting with Urban Company, a newbie might pull in around $200 a month. It's a far cry from the advertised dream of quick riches. However, dedicated professionals who build a strong reputation often see their monthly earnings soar to $1000 or more. Payments land in your bank account swiftly after each completed service, with fees and earnings clearly laid out. So, if you're eyeing a significant income, remember: it takes time and ongoing effort. But not all tasks are equal. Cleaning gigs might offer less than high-demand beauty services, where premium offerings can boost your hourly rate significantly. For a broader view of how gig work stacks up, check out its analysis of GigSalad as an alternative for freelancers. Setting up with Urban Company: A user journey. It's straightforward to jump on board - sign up as a professional on their platform, create a profile showcasing your skills, and you're set. The onboarding process involves a thorough verification, typically taking 24-48 hours. During this time, the Urban Company team checks your details to ensure a safe marketplace for both professionals and clients. Once approved, you gain access to a user-friendly dashboard where you can accept bookings and manage your schedule. The flexibility here is a major win - you decide when and where you work. Before you start, though, be prepared to invest in some initial training sessions, especially if you're new to the type of service you plan to offer. Competition: where Urban Company stands. Urban Company's stiffest competition includes TaskRabbit, which also offers a variety of services but operates more like a task marketplace. Urban Company edges out TaskRabbit with its targeted professional services and integrated customer review system, fostering trust and repeat business. However, TaskRabbit might appeal more to those starting out with simpler tasks or testing the waters in the gig economy. For those considering supplementing their Urban Company earnings, platforms like Uber Eats for delivery gigs or Rentah for renting equipment offer additional income streams and could be a good fit depending on your skills and interests. The perks and the snags. * Flexibility: Choose your own hours and locations, which is perfect for those balancing other commitments. * Steady Income: Regular payouts after each service keep the cash flowing. * Professional Growth: With training and development options, you can expand your service offerings. * High Competition: Newcomers face stiff competition from seasoned pros. * Platform Fees: Urban Company takes a slice of each transaction, impacting take-home pay. * Demand Fluctuations: Income can vary with seasonal demand, especially for services like home cleaning. Insider tips for maximizing earnings. Want to excel on Urban Company? Here are some not-so-obvious tricks: 1. Specialize in High-Demand Services: Focus on beauty or appliance repair, often yielding higher pay than basic cleaning services. 2. Emphasize Unique Skills: Highlight any specialized training or certifications to stand out. 3. Leverage Customer Reviews: Encourage satisfied clients to leave glowing reviews, boosting credibility. 4. Seasonal Promotions: Offer seasonal deals to increase bookings during slower periods. Consider joining community forums or subreddits dedicated to Urban Company professionals to share experiences and tips - networking is invaluable for growth. Who is Urban Company best suited for? Urban Company is ideal for those with flexible schedules, including stay-at-home parents or students. If you're patient, willing to hustle, and don't mind a bit of marketing on the side, this could be a great gig. If faster-paced task work or a focus on a specific niche suits you better, platforms like Dolly might be worth exploring. Final verdict. Urban Company presents a solid opportunity for service professionals to earn on their terms, but it's not for everyone. If you're driven and skilled, there's potential here for substantial earnings. Bottom line: want to build a career offering local services? Urban Company is worth a shot. More of a side income seeker? Consider alternatives for quicker gains or niche markets. Did this help you? "That's why we're thrilled to partner with Taskrabbit to help parents reclaim some of that time. Focusing of family. The 'Homework Pass' is designed to alleviate that exact pressure, giving overwhelmed parents their time back to focus on family connection rather than a checklist," she said. Founded in 1979, PIM is considered the world's largest maker of real fruit snacks. The family-owned company is also one of the world's largest manufacturers of confections, snacks and treats. Diverse tech teams start with diverse VCs and intentional hiring from day one

Leah Solivan, founder of Taskrabbit and managing director of Precedent.VC, says building diverse teams requires intentional action from the earliest hires. Speaking on TechCrunch's Build Mode podcast, she explained that diversity must be embedded in recruiting and hiring processes from day one, as it becomes increasingly difficult to implement later. Solivan argues that a more diverse tech industry begins with investors, as venture capitalists' biases influence which founders receive funding. She recommends concrete practices including reviewing two female CVs for every male CV, tapping wider networks, and promoting people from different backgrounds into leadership roles. As an early-stage investor, Solivan notes that founders don't need to be from underrepresented groups themselves to prioritise diverse hiring, emphasising that deliberate strategies can overcome default recruitment patterns.
