Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field or equivalent experience/training
  • 5+ years of human resources experience
  • 3+ years of handling employee relations investigations
  • 2+ years in a human resource management position
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with state and federal employment laws including but not limited to; FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII, etc
  • Experienced in conducting internal complaint investigations and preparing/recommending organization response
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal skills, organizational, and analytical capabilities
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management, writing, and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations in a professional and dignified manner
  • Ability to work independently and to be highly self-motivated
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and produce results
Responsibilities
  • Build and leverage relationships at all levels in the organization, informing and assisting others while being viewed as a valued, trusted, and credible business partner
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to leadership and assist them in carrying out their business objectives
  • Serve as a company advocate, while ensuring that employees are supported and represented in a fair and consistent manner
  • Reviews and investigates employee relation's issues and recommends appropriate responses to management
  • Promotes positive employee relations through development, implementation, and interpretation of policies, procedures, guidelines and programs related to team services
  • Ensures organizational compliance with all human resource related local, state and federal regulations
  • Manage requests for accommodations (ADA, Religious, and other applicable by law)
  • Conducts ongoing formal and informal HR training on harassment and discrimination
  • Develop, mentors, and supervises Team Services Specialist/Generalist(s)
  • Monitor and stay current with human resource trends and practices
  • Participates as required on special projects and performs other related team services duties as assigned by management
Desired Qualifications
  • PHR/SPHR certification
  • Previous airline experience
  • Experience working with Unionized work groups
