Requirements
  • You have at least 4 years of experience owning the design process from ideation to engineering hand-off, demonstrating your ability to deliver high-quality designs that meet business and user goals
  • You have a compelling online portfolio that showcases your recent work and design process, demonstrating your ability to create engaging and innovative designs that solve complex problems
  • You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively articulate your design decisions to stakeholders, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and receive and provide feedback to improve designs
  • You are comfortable designing and iterating effectively in a fast-paced, fluid startup environment, where adaptability and agility are key to success
  • You have a strong foundation in visual design and user experience principles, and continuously strive to stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and best practices
  • You are proficient in design prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or others, and have the ability to rapidly create and test prototypes to validate your design ideas
Responsibilities
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that will bring innovative financial products to life, and effectively communicate your design ideas to the team
  • Work closely with our talented product managers and engineerings to build seamless experiences for our users, while pushing the boundaries of what's possible
  • Use your expertise to identify user needs through customer feedback, user research, and product analytics, and translate those insights into beautiful and intuitive designs that delight our users
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to define problems and iterate on solutions, leveraging your creativity and design skills to drive positive outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of Grid's Design System, playing a key role in building a more cohesive and consistent user experience across our suite of products. With your unique perspective and vision, you will help us shape the future of finance and level the playing field for all users

  • Designing for consumer products, where you have honed your skills in creating engaging and delightful experiences for users
  • Building or working with pattern libraries and design systems, showing your ability to create consistent and scalable design solutions that benefit both the users and the team
  • Conducting user research, showcasing your ability to understand user needs and translate them into design solutions that exceed their expectations. Your research skills have helped you uncover deep insights and pain points that have led to innovative solutions
