  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of Software Product Management experience, with demonstrated single threaded ownership of a specific product or business.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles, with proven experience managing distributed teams including directly managing Product Management and directly or indirectly managing Engineering and Design.
  • Experience building and shipping complex software products at scale.
  • Experience working on real time networked games and/or platform development for training, gaming, connected devices, IoT and/or web services.
  • Ability to generate platform vision and strategy based on interaction with customers and insights into the market.
  • Great instincts on how to make the right tradeoffs, despite the lack of qualitative or quantitative data.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication required, including the ability to synthesize details at the right layer of abstraction for any layer in the organization, including the C-team.
  • Periodic domestic travel is required, 10-15 days a quarter.
Responsibilities
  • Own and grow the virtual reality Simulator Training Product including strategy, roadmap, planning, requirements, execution, and reporting.
  • Directly manage and own the career development of the product managers, and producers on your team.
  • Delight customers and earn their trust by forging close personal relationships, deeply understanding their problems, and delivering world-class execution on commitments.
  • Operate in the details of the customer experience, drive day-to-day progress, and improve the effectiveness of the organization in delivering results.
  • Synthesize stakeholder requirements and rationalize against our company, product, and content strategy into actionable plans and crisp Product Requirement Documents for the platform.
  • Work cross-discipline with Art, Design, Engineering, AI, PM’s, Legal, Training, Sales and Marketing to develop the right content with the right platform features, services, and SDK’s.
  • Partner across Axon to drive transparency, alignment, and collaboration to achieve Axon’s Moonshot goal.
