Requirements
  • 10 to 12 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, or 8 to 10 years of experience with a Master of Science or Master of Arts degree.
  • A current and active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related science, technology, engineering, and mathematics field.
  • Skills necessary to use industry Model-Based Systems Engineering tools and modeling methodologies to produce systems engineering models and mentor others.
  • Experience with the practical application of Unified Modeling Language and Systems Modeling Language modeling languages and applying this common structure to a Model-Based Systems Engineering solution.
Responsibilities
  • Institutionalize Digital Engineering concepts, processes, and tools, and mentor more junior engineers in Digital Engineering principles.
  • Create engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering Digital Engineering tool suites, including NoMagic Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, and other enterprise architecture tools.
  • Lead the definition of appropriate data standards, data structures, and supporting commercial off-the-shelf, government off-the-shelf, and open-source technologies required to manage data needs.
  • Develop architecture, lead integration of enterprise tools, and develop Model-Based Systems Engineering processes supporting requirements engineering, the customer's Engineering Review Board process, Concepts of Operations and architecture development, Risk, Issues and Opportunity Management boards, schedule management, test and verification strategy development, and system integration of new initiatives supporting expanded mission capabilities.
  • Lead collaboration between Model-Based Systems Engineering users and the tool development team to communicate modeling needs and help innovate potential solutions.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to senior managers regarding the creation and implementation of new Model-Based Systems Engineering methods and techniques.
  • Lead a team of engineers to integrate enterprise tools and develop Model-Based Systems Engineering processes supporting requirements engineering, the customer's Engineering Review Board process, Concepts of Operations and architecture development, Risks, Issues, and Opportunity Management boards, schedule management, test and verification strategy development, and system integration of new initiatives supporting expanded mission capabilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with systems engineering processes supporting the system development life cycle is a plus.
  • Knowledge or demonstrated experience with DoDAF, UPDM, and/or UAF.
  • Object Certified Systems Modeler Professional certification.
  • Strong communication skills, especially with tool developers and customers.
