Role

Founding Engineers at Anything push the frontier on how software is created. You'll ship at the cutting edge of AI, product, and infra.

We look for eng who spike in:

• Product & Design. You have strong taste and bias for action + craft. You turn ideas into delightful, performant experiences across mobile, web and backend.

• AI. You make Anything more intelligent. Stare down research challenges and put technology indistinguishable from magic in people's hands.

• Infra. You've built distributed systems that scale or let builders deploy to millions. So you can design new systems with new scale characteristics.

Our favorite people combine deep expertise in multiple disciplines into magic.

Example projects you'd own

• Build an autonomous software engineer that can use runtime signals to solve issues

• Design a reliable pipeline to package an AI built mobile app (where anything could go wrong), scan it for App Store review guidelines, and ship to the App Store (w/ intuitive UI throughout)

• Scale the system that creates thousands of production environments a day with isolation, telemetry, and instant rollback

• Train a design reasoning model to craft interfaces with taste (scale internet crawler & curator for training data, then post train an open weight model)

Ideal background

• Strong engineer(4-6+ years, Typescript/Python/Go preferred). If you've personally built something people love, YOE is irrelevant.

• Deep experience in Typescript & with modern technologies and frameworks (React, React Native, Node, Postgres, AI)

• At least one of:

  • Done impactful work at a company known for its product, AI, or infra

  • Major contributions to a notable open source project

  • You built something people love on your own or on a team

• Blend excellent engineering with taste in models, infra, or product

• Ship fast through quality

• Prior examples of technical fearlessness

• Insatiable curiosity for AI - from research to infra to applied to final experiences - that you've turned into things people can use

• You read deep, esp things others find "boring" but you know contain gold (change logs, runtime logs, papers, open source, internet rabbit holes)

• You've tried Anything - and have strong opinions on what's next

Extra signal

• Prior experience as a founder or founding eng

• Strong taste in product, design, or AI models

• Strong production experience with LLMs
