Experience Level
  • Good understanding of basic electrical theory, test equipment, and static discharge protection
  • Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps; torque wrenches, plasma cutting, and power tools are required
  • Knowledge of the use of common test equipment such as a multimeter, oscilloscope to gather information such as voltage, signals
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to take responsibility for the quality of work performed
  • Must have the ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Education and Experience:§ Some college-level course work and training in electronic and electro-mechanical assembly and testing required
  • Experience in manufacturing (minimum 3 years) as an assembler in vehicle manufacturing and test environment
  • Experience with computers is required. Experience with Windows environment and Microsoft Office products is expected
  • Versed understanding of electro-mechanical assembly and testing methodologies and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks required
  • Assemble vehicle electronic systems and support structures installing components, units, subassemblies, wiring, crimping, soldering, plugging stripping, routing, inspecting
  • Perform printed circuit board assembly, including hand soldering and reflow soldering
  • Read vehicle connection schematics, diagrams, specifications, and reports in order to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions
  • Assist in ensuring that systems personnel and test equipment are current with the latest upgrades and/or releases
  • Provide feedback to the engineering team on product quality issues and process improvements
  • Set up and maintain a clean working environment at all times
  • Understand and follow all safety policies, codes, and procedures
