Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent credential is required.
  • Must possess a valid California Class A driver's license with a T endorsement for doubles, triples, and tankers.
  • Manual transmission experience and a minimum age of 21 are required.
  • A clean driving record is required, along with the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • A Medical Certification Clearance Card and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Clearinghouse registration are required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience operating Class A vehicles and/or relevant training is required.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of driving laws, regulations, speed-limit compliance, and accident procedures is required.
  • Ability to perform long hours of driving, move and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and use a hand truck is required.
  • Must be able to work a five-day work week with flexibility for overtime.
  • Basic English proficiency for reading, writing, and oral communication is required.
  • Strong organizational skills are required, including the ability to sequence tasks and group similar items.
  • Candidates must complete a physical examination before employment.
  • The role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, and hearing, as well as prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds, to transport goods and materials.
  • Plan delivery routes while considering traffic, weather, and road conditions to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cargo and secure items to prevent damage during transit.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify mechanical or safety issues.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules, adjust for changes, and provide updates.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local transportation regulations, company policies, and hours-of-service requirements.
  • Ensure the vehicle and cargo remain properly secured and safe for operation.
  • Promptly report maintenance or repair needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle inside and out.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to prepare and securely load orders.
  • Provide customer service during deliveries.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous delivery experience with wholesale products and in warehouse environments is strongly preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or distribution experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
