Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 4 or more years of experience in an operational role for a high growth startup or proven experience in a strategy consulting, strategic planning or finance role.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce.
Responsibilities
  • Deal sourcing - establish connections with peer investors and founders to get deal flow; may include speaking at panels, conferences, podcasts and other networking events. Serve as primary deal lead for individually sourced companies and support them throughout the accelerator program and beyond.
  • Deal screening - connect with founder prospects, conduct screening calls, evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Deal diligence - gather information about the company’s progress, understand competitive landscapes, company’s metrics and unit economics, calculate market size and conduct founder reference checks.
  • Conduct deep analysis of prospective investment opportunities including evaluating upside outcomes and downside risk - modeling various scenarios, building competitive landscapes, examining market size data.
  • Process deal memos on post-investment transactions i.e. financings, M&As, ESOP requests, AGMs and other shareholder-related resolutions that need the fund’s signature.
  • Closely collaborate with Partners and General Partners to execute the fund’s investment thesis, in addition to advocating/pitching prospective investments. Write internal investment memos highlighting risks and investment theses.
  • Collaborate with accelerator batch company’s growth coaches during the program to align on the company’s goals and support growth experiments Identify high performing portfolio companies and float up follow-on investment opportunities to the investment committee for a decision.
  • Identify key milestones and metrics to best position the investments for Series A and follow-on.
  • Comprehend and verify cap tables and distribution waterfall structures to assist portfolio companies in financings or exits as needed.
  • Research and discover meaningful trends. Share those insights internally and externally via the 500 blog.

  • Metrics-driven. Knows how to analyze and synthesize data and draw reasonable conclusions.
  • Curious about developing systems to help automate reporting/analytics and put more data directly in the hands of business users.

  • Ability to quickly build trust and connect with other team members, cross-functional partner, and portfolio founders. Leverages subject matter experts. Consults internal experts for review and validation before publishing work.

Issa Compass hits 100K users, scales AI visa platform after fundraising round

Issa Compass, an AI-powered immigration platform operated by Issara Platforms, has surpassed 100,000 users and reached $1 million in annual revenue within five months of launch. Nas raises $27M Series A led by Khosla Ventures to power AI platform for solopreneurs

Nas, an AI platform for solopreneurs, has raised $27 million in Series A funding led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners and 500 Startups. The company has 3.5 million members and achieved fivefold revenue growth in 2025. Founded by Nuseir Yassin, creator of Nas Daily, the platform uses AI to handle business creation, marketing and customer acquisition for solo entrepreneurs. Users can photograph products and Nas generates storefronts, creates digital or physical products, writes marketing copy and delivers customers. The platform serves over 20,000 paying business owners, with 90% having zero employees. The funding will support hiring, AI product development and geographic expansion, particularly in the US, Mexico and Latin America. Top users have generated up to $2 million in their first year.

Maison Safqa raises $620K pre-seed to scale luxury flash-sale platform across GCC

Maison Safqa, a Saudi flash-sale platform for premium and luxury brands, has raised $620,000 in pre-seed funding led by 500 Global through the Sanabil MENA 500 Accelerator Fund. Saudi and international business angels participated, including the founder of European flash-sale platform Ventes Exclusives. Founded in 2024, Maison Safqa helps premium brands monetise excess inventory whilst maintaining brand control through time-limited online sales. Since launching in May 2025, the platform has partnered with over 50 brands including Aigner, Lanvin and Liu Jo, growing gross sales more than 20-fold. The company plans to surpass $2.5 million in cumulative sales within 18 months and expand to over 100 brands. Maison Safqa is also developing offline sales events and investing in personalisation and automated onboarding technology.
