Requirements
  • 7 + years of experience as a people manager leading engineering teams, including having managers and managers of managers reporting into you.
  • 15 – 18 years of experience in cloud technologies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in Public Cloud
  • Expertise in Platform Engineering and DevOps
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of cloud technologies
  • Prior experience migrating from a on prem to a Cloud Native infrastructure
  • Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Virtualization, Configuration Management, IaC, CDN, DNS, Containers
  • Edge Platform, Infrastructure as a Service Platform, Distribution Center Platform
  • Engineering life-cycle management of software infrastructure
  • Establish best-practice software engineering methodologies for a global, 24x7, high-volume, high-availability, critical production environment, based on metrics-based KPIs
  • Develop software and infrastructure design and implementation roadmaps to meet the company's operations & infrastructure business goals and metrics for availability, resiliency and performance.
  • Prior experience in improving stabilization of complex enterprise cloud
  • Prior experience in working with highly-effective engineering teams through major technology transitions.
  • Lead development of innovation and strategic direction in application of theories and concepts in cloud and edge compute design, configuration, administration, maintenance and/or support.
  • Work closely with other departments to proactively ensure cloud engineering capabilities are capable of handling emerging and future business requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Translate business strategies and objectives into strategic direction and plans.
  • Lead initiatives, develop talent, problem solve to ensure successful delivery, maintaining strategic partnerships, and manage budget.
  • Present the vision, strategies, roadmaps and progress to Senior and Executive Leadership.
  • Create and deliver capabilities in support of Retail, Digital, Logistics, Planning, Product, Manufacturing and Marketing.
  • Ensure that engineering excellence, innovation, scale, and security are embedded within the culture.
  • Identify and assess technology trends and articulate technology recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Architecture and Product Management to develop a clear vision, outcomes, and roadmap for the future cloud and foundational capabilities transforming the organization into Products and Platforms through Self-Service, Platform Engineering, Automation and DevOps.
