Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on optimization.
- Strong motivation to address climate change through the work at Antora.
- Passion for sustainability, renewable energy, and making a positive impact on the environment through economic optimization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Empathy, sensitivity, and ability to effectively interact with a broad and diverse range of colleagues.
- Demonstrated expertise in Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) optimization techniques and methodologies.
- Strong programming skills, with proficiency in Python, for algorithm development and implementation.
- Experience in optimization software tools such as Gurobi or CPLEX.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Support efforts to improve and refine existing mixed integer linear programming (MILP) optimization models for thermal battery systems and related renewable energy applications.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of current optimization models to identify areas for improvement, such as efficiency enhancements, scalability, and accuracy.
- Document methodologies, algorithms, and results for knowledge sharing and future reference, maintaining clear and detailed documentation.
- Help the team stay updated on the latest advancements in optimization techniques, MILP algorithms, and related technologies, incorporating new findings into model improvement efforts.
