About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Accountant who is intellectually curious and passionate about solving interesting problems to come join our team! This role is critical in our day-to-day accounting operations and you will have exposure to nearly all accounting activities. Reporting to our Accounting Manager and partnering closely with our VP of Finance, CFO and other senior business stakeholders, you will play a key role in scaling our accounting and finance practices and help us lay the foundations for an eventual IPO.

How you will make an impact:

• Manage sections of our month-end close activities, including revenue recognition, expense accruals, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations

• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

• Manage bills within AP system, code and categorize expenses/invoices

• Manage bank payments following the relevant approval matrix

• Assist with payroll calculation and payments, tax filing preparations and payments, and preparation for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting

• Collaborate with internal departments to establish procurement processes and to streamline and improve vendor onboarding and maintenance

• Drive ongoing process improvements and new process implementations for financial operations

• Assist in the annual audit process

• Coach, mentor and advise the junior contractors assigned to the Accounting Team

Ideal profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• 3+ years of industry accounting experience

• Solid understanding of accounting concepts, familiarity with accounting system(s) and general operational processes

• Ability to manage large data sets in Excel and perform complex analysis with a clean and structured presentational format

• Strong problem solving skills, able to troubleshoot independently and make well thought out recommendations and decisions

• Experience with Netsuite (preferred)

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress towards CPA (preferred)
