As part of the Product Management team, the Senior Product Manager’s primary responsibility will be to represent the needs of ThinkOn’s subscribers and resellers to the CTO office, software development group, and third-party vendors who collectively contribute to enabling services that solve Subscriber problems. The Senior Product Manager will work with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to help drive market success for ThinkOn’s products and solutions. This role will need to have strong relationships with the Senior Leadership Team, the Site Reliability Team, the Sales team, and the Marketing team.
Ideal candidates must be self-starters who have an eye towards treating their product lines as a general manager. Candidates must be comfortable with public speaking and addressing both internal and external stakeholders. Understanding of complex customer and vendor relationships is a must.
The Senior Product Manager will be instrumental in moving ThinkOn towards being a Product Driven organization while maintaining and growing our bespoke solutions success that continues to make ThinkOn unique in the market. This includes defining and putting in place processes, documentations, and metrics required for an effective and enduring transition.
In this role, you will have direct input in the product strategy and roadmap for ThinkOn’s offerings. You will ensure that the roadmap aligns with the overall product and company vision, while being client and outcome focused. You will become an expert on the market, technology, and industry trends and will be looked at to describe the company product vision and direction consistently to both internal and external stakeholders.
You Will:
- ThinkOn’s Product Development Lifecycle and adherence to it
- Design reliability of all ThinkOn standard services
- Contributing to a culture of ownership, teamwork, and empathy that reinforces the core values of ThinkOn
- Driving alignment between product strategy and company vision
- Developing KPIs including usage and growth metrics and quality benchmarks to measure and track product performance and success
- Effective and efficient collaboration with the Site Reliability team, the Product Team, the Marketing team, the Finance team, other parts of ThinkOn, as well as the Leadership team
- Engagement with Marketing and Sales functions in the development and execution of go-to-market and sales strategies
- Be the voice of ThinkOn’s customers – support the Sales and Marketing teams with vision, marketing knowledge, and executional abilities
- Act as a domain and product expert at customer interactions
- Act as the product champion and evangelize the product vision effectively to all internal and external stakeholders and participate in key customer activities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of concurrent product release initiatives while addressing conflicts and competing priorities
You Have:
- Experience in owning or operating a business is desired. Candidates with this experience, especially in cloud technologies, are highly sought after.
- Experience with cloud services, specifically SaaS style services including infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery is highly desired.
- \Experience with various methodologies and frameworks such as Scaled Agile, Scrum, PMP, ITIL, etc.
- \Experience with large scale cloud/infrastructure deployments
- Experience with setting product market goals and delivery against those targets
- Experience with managing vendors and partners
- Consulting or Systems Administration experience with the following (VMware vSphere, Windows Server
- Basic Networking Knowledge (Conceptual knowledge of protocols (e.g. TCP vs UDP) / Apply the OSI model to solution design and/or troubleshooting / Storage Technologies / Flash vs HDD / Conceptual knowledge of storage protocols such as iSCSI, FC / Conceptual knowledge of storage metrics such as IOPs vs Latency
- Consulting or Systems Administration with one of more technologies is highly desirable (VMware vCloud / VMware NSX / VMware Tanzu / VMware vRealize Operations / VMware Cloud Director Availability / Containers (Docker or Kubernetes) / Linux/BSD / Zerto / Veeam Backup & Replication or similar technologies / Veeam Cloud Connect / Veeam Backup for Office 365 / Commvault / S3 Object Storage
