  • Managed the coordination of resources in a distributed multi-disciplinary organization
  • Led major capture and proposal activities that resulted in the winning of definitive contracts in the $10M - $200M range
  • Used extensive experience in federal government business, and acquisition activities to pursue and win substantial business with US Army, US Air Force or other DoD organizations
  • Attained Bachelor's Degree in technical or business discipline and 10 years experience with federal government acquisition activities
  • Applied solid working knowledge of the DoD Acquisition Process, RFP analysis and proposal preparation, contract types (e.g. IDIQ, CPFF, CR, FFP, T&M, etc), and various agreement types (NDA's, Teaming Agreements, Subcontracts, etc) to shape opportunities and win business
  • Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Prioritized, multi-tasked, and met tight deadlines
  • Gained proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G Suite Applications
  • Trained on and have previously implemented Shipley Capture Management, Proposal Management, and Proposal Writing process
  • Prior experience as US DoD acquisition professional
Responsibilities
  • Lead the refining and implementation of a company-wide Shipley-based Business Development process in the areas of Capture Management, Proposal Management, and Proposal Writing
  • Lead the development and evolution of company-wide Capture artifacts used to support the execution of the BD process
  • Own and execute company-wide BD meeting rhythms including interfacing with Lines of Business (P&L centers) and C-level management
  • Facilitate timely inputs and updates to company-wide pipelines and proposal schedules
  • Support and coordinate the creation of meaningful content to support the execution of the BD meeting rhythms
  • Support the coordination and prioritization of cross company resources to critical opportunities
  • Facilitate the creation, capture, and sharing of BD Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to company stakeholders
  • Support the definition, scheduling, and implementation of a Shipley-based proposal writing approach
  • Mentor company BD professionals on the BD best practices, BD process, and applications of company standard artifacts
  • Provide budget and training recommendations required to enable the company to meet its BD operations goals
  • Foster strong partnerships and collaboration with company business leadership
  • Provide surge support for priority Capture and Proposal Management initiatives, leading captures and proposals when needed
  • Support the development of compelling competitive assessments, teaming strategies, offer concepts, and price-to-win analyses to improve competitive positioning
  • Support bid and proposal activities, including proposal preparation, to deliver compelling, responsive and compliant proposals; compelling white paper generation; and support the generation of compelling marketing materials
  • Promote an environment of open communication and collaboration with all levels of the organization, including effective communication with Executive Management
  • Work independently with limited supervision, meet company requirements, and work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
