Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in the industry, along with some management experience
  • High level of interest and knowledge in the major US Sports
  • Highly numerate and able to perform in a fast-paced environment, remaining focused and able to deliver high quality work when under pressure
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable and willing to be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends, dependent on business needs
  • Self-motivated to meet deadlines when working on on-going projects
  • Positive attitude and willing to support where needed
  • Ability to obtain necessary state licenses
Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of Sports Traders, to include but not limited to: performance management, scheduling, and assigning and reviewing the quality of work
  • Execution and delivery of a best-in-class digital trading life cycle
  • Compile and trade odds on in play events on a variety of markets, within the Trading strategy and philosophy
  • Set, monitor and adjust market limits to manage liabilities and customer experience
  • Make and oversee bet intercept decisions
  • Setup markets and make requests which best enable easy navigation for users on BetMGM digital channel displays
  • Be familiar with competitors’ digital channels and market offering
  • Create innovative, attractive, localized (or personalized) specials and promotional offers, (including odds boosts) to drive desirable customer behavior
  • Recommend appropriate actions, including but not limited to good will gestures from time to time, as reasonable steps to address customer queries, claims and disputes
  • Manage and adjust markets in response to client risk profiles. Support client analysis
  • Support customer, product, content, social media, PR and marketing initiatives
  • Lead, manage, coach and support new and existing team members
  • Set quarterly team and individual performance objectives
  • Share knowledge and align with Senior Manager expectations to support in developing team and individual capabilities
  • Conduct regular one-on-one performance feedback conversations
  • Learn new tools
  • Support daily review and approval of wagers, escalate for consultation as appropriate
  • Contribute to House Rules improvements
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Regular daily communication with other Trading teams for optimal execution
  • Correspond with compliance on new market requests and approvals
  • Trading Operations and Support to optimize potential offering and ensure compliant configurations
  • Communication with Retail Sportsbook Supervisors for optimal offerings available to their clientele
  • Other value adding activities to create competitive advantages as reasonably agreed from time to time.
