Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and drive strategic partnerships with risk-bearing entities and channel partners to enhance Daymark’s reach and margin growth.

  • Understand and utilize provider-specific value levers, such as clinical trial enrollment.
  • Work with non-oncology leaders, such as ACO leaders, in academic medical centers and integrated health systems when necessary to facilitate system-wide partnerships.

  • Develop and implement compensation and shared savings models that provide a growth moat.
  • Lead individual provider partnerships from initial sourcing and diligence through contract signing and hand-off.
  • Work with growth senior leaders across payer and provider partnerships to prioritize geographic focus and ensure Daymark becomes the favored partner for key provider organizations.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for newly signed practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Existing relationships within major oncology networks, such as OneOncology, AON, or US Oncology, or with cancer centers at large integrated health systems.
  • Comfort setting high-level strategy with an executive team while handling contract redlines and implementation hand-offs.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an early-stage company with incomplete processes and playbooks.

Daymark Health partners with health plans to take on total cost of care risk and provides supplementary cancer care through in-home and virtual services. Its platform blends care navigation, 24/7 support, symptom management, and early palliative care via a twice-weekly symptom tool, delivered by a community team of nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and Health Partners. The model is tied to payer contracts and aims to keep patients outside traditional clinics, reducing fragmentation and coordinating care across the health system. The goal is to improve patient outcomes while lowering overall costs for payers and patients, addressing the needs of the roughly two million Americans diagnosed with cancer each year.

What believers are saying

  • September 2025 Series A from Healthier Capital and Blue Venture Fund strengthens balance sheet.
  • BCBSRI and Daymark expanded personalized cancer support across Rhode Island in 2025.
  • 2026 advisory board and Pinnacle award validate physician and payer credibility.

What critics are saying

  • Daymark depends on payer contracts; losing BCBSRI would compress revenue quickly.
  • Clinical economics remain unproven; the first VP of medical economics just arrived in 2026.
  • Accurate AI/analytics and care coordination failures would destroy trust and trigger contract exits.

What makes Daymark Health unique

  • Justin Bekelman’s oncology credibility and Penn pedigree anchor Daymark’s clinical trust.
  • BCBSRI partnership embeds Daymark inside payer workflows for 2,500 cancer patients.
  • Hybrid in-home and virtual supportive care differentiates beyond standard oncology navigation.
