  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field (or equivalent degree).
  • 8+ years proven experience as an events producer or similar role within a media company, advertising agency, brand or event production company.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to both work independently and be a team player.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end event management, including overarching strategy, budgeting, timeline creation, venue selection, vendor management, logistics coordination, guest experience, and on-site supervision. Ensure all elements of the event are delivered flawlessly, within budget, and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams, sellers, editors and other stakeholders to develop event concepts, themes, and messaging that align with clients' brand identities and advertising campaigns. Contribute creative ideas and solutions to enhance the overall event experience.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ideate, concept, develop, and produce tentpole events for brands including Marie Claire and Who What Wear.
  • Source, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with external vendors, including event production companies, photographers, florists, audio-visual teams, caterers, transportation providers, and other event-related suppliers. Coordinate vendor deliverables and ensure quality control throughout the event planning process.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest event technologies, trends, and industry best practices. Utilize innovative event technologies and digital platforms to enhance event experiences and amplify clients' advertising messages.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including account managers, marketing teams, influencer team, graphic designers, freelancers and production agencies, to ensure seamless integration of advertiser marketing campaigns with event activations. Collaborate effectively to deliver cohesive and impactful client solutions.
  • Work with sales, integrated marketing, and client solutions teams to ensure effective and positive communication with advertising clients.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them. Conduct thorough risk assessments for venues, activities, and logistics to ensure the safety of attendees, compliance with regulations, and protection of client assets.
  • Analyze event success metrics, attendee feedback, and social and editorial coverage. Provide post-event reports, identifying areas of improvement and opportunities for future events.
