Requirements
  • Education & Years of Experience – Associate's Degree in a relevant field or combination of education and relevant experience. 5 or more years’ experience in construction, maintenance or fabrication field experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
  • Clearance – To be considered, you must have an active or very recently active DOE “Q” Clearance or DoD “Top Secret” Clearance.
  • Professional and safety certifications relevant to construction in the DOE and nuclear complex are required.
Responsibilities
  • Assists in the day-to-day business operations, functions, and development and deliverance of facility operations-focused programs, policies, processes, and procedures in support of safe and compliant facility operations.
  • Provides guidance on governmental regulations and Laboratory guidelines.
  • Conducts incident and general issue management investigations and reporting.
  • Participates in or supports readiness reviews for operations supporting the activity approval process.
  • Develops and maintains required operational documentation and procedural manuals.
  • Plans and budgets.
  • Provides other compliance and/or quality-related support functions including development of training, delivery of facility-level training, tracking and assurance of employee training, property accountability, and access control.
  • Provides other operational/administrative support functions as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Qualifications as an Electrical Field Work Supervisor, Field Work Supervisor and Responsible (Line) Manager are preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting the DOE mission is desirable.
