Requirements
  • The position is full time.
  • Must be available to work weekends and some holidays.
  • Must be available for an early morning start at 7:00 AM.
  • Must have management experience with multiple individuals.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be dependable.
  • Must be able to operate related computer applications and business equipment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and an extensive background check.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Must be able to operate and drive vehicles with manual transmission.
  • Must be physically fit enough to climb 15 to 20 feet of ladders to enter railcars.
  • Must not be afraid of heights.
  • Must be able to learn and follow strict guidelines and instruct employees accordingly.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified personnel.
  • Train and educate employees on safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Ensure that company and customer policies and procedures are followed.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of unloaders and checkpoint personnel, including scheduling and working with trucking companies.
  • Monitor and assist with unloader performance while actively participating in unloading processes.
  • Monitor checkpoint procedures for inventory control, including scanning out loaded inventory.
  • Maintain communication between the company and railroad customers.
  • Respond to customer needs while adapting to varying daily schedules and ensuring compliance.
  • Promote and practice safety awareness.
  • Provide daily reports and communicate with the customer.
