Junior Support Engineer needed to join our team, on a permanent basis, here at VML Enterprise Solutions.

The opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Support Engineer to join our team. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to end-users, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our IT systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and wanting to expand their experience in a large organisation supporting more than 2000 users across 6 countries! What you’ll be doing:
Navigate the ticketing system to track and resolve user issues
Follow up with users to ensure satisfactory resolution of their problems
- Hardware Troubleshooting:
Identify common hardware issues, such as printer malfunctions or monitor connectivity problems
- Issue Complexity Assessment:
Gauge the complexity of issues with the guidance of a mentor
Execute basic network troubleshooting tasks
- Knowledge Base Contribution:
Contribute to the internal wiki by providing updates and new entries
Collaborate with the team to maintain system security and integrity
Actively learn about IT services and user support techniques
Work closely with mentors and team members to develop skills and knowledge
What we want from you:
- Basic understanding of IT services and user support, with some commercial experience
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of IT security principles
- Willingness to learn and work closely with mentors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills

- Eagerness to learn and grow in the IT field

If you know some of this, even better:
- Any experience with the following technologies is an advantage: Active Directory, Atlassian stack, networking fundamentals, familiarity with joiner/mover/leaver processes, any scription knowledge (e.g. python, batch, bash, PowerShell etc.)
