With more than 450 talented staff, in 21 offices, AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer, with up to 10+ years of relevant experience, to join our growing team of design professionals in our Towson or Rockville, MD offices. The right candidate would work on water resources engineering aspects of transportation projects, drainage improvements, SWM remediation, erosion and sediment control and stream restoration projects.

Responsibilities
- Completion of calculations, reports and plans in support of Water Resource related projects including SWM, erosion and sediment control and drainage design.
- Perform Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis and reporting
- Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for Advertisement and Construction
- Work in collaboration with a design team comprised of other disciplines and support staff on multi-disciplinary based projects
- Provide QA/QC review following internal and client-based procedures
Qualifications
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources
- Up to 10 years of water resources related experience including plan and report production
- Hydrology and hydraulic modeling experience (drainage, SWM, floodplain, bridge) with commonly used software
- Professional Engineer preferred; Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) Exam required
- Design experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D required
- Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills, both written and verbal
