Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in scientific laboratory and/or operations
  • Ability to work onsite 5 days/week in South San Francisco, CA
  • Experience with maintaining basic lab equipment
  • Experience with managing lab supplies
  • General understanding of Inventory Systems, Equipment Management Systems or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace Apps
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Good record keeping and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work independently
  • Ability to lift 45 pounds independently
Responsibilities
  • Shipping & Receiving -
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties
  • Inventory Management -
  • Maintain and manage appropriate stock levels of common lab supply inventory
  • Order, receive and stock inventory per standard process
  • Restock lab supplies daily at Point of Use (POU) stations in the labs
  • Equipment Maintenance -
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to coordinate the installation, calibration, routine and preventative maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment
  • Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, minor repairs on lab equipment
  • Document and manage equipment records, such as warranties, maintenance/calibration schedules and service contracts
  • Monitor equipment usage and capacity
  • Labware cleaning and autoclaving
  • Participate in rotation list for pertiofically on call for 24/7 temperature equipment alarms
  • Perform other lab operations tasks as needed
