The Role:
Braze seeks a Vice President of Total Rewards to provide leadership and functional expertise to advise on and align our benefits, compensation, and equity teams under one vision. This is an exciting opportunity for you to build on firm foundations while deeply influencing the next phase of Braze to support our global team at scale.
Successful Outcomes:
As a member of the People Leadership Team (reporting directly to our Chief People Officer), you will help us shape the future by:
- Developing a comprehensive Total Rewards philosophy: Re-define and unify the global total rewards philosophy and adjoining cash, benefits, and equity programs that underpin our pay practices internally and externally to Braze.
- Implementing a global pay structure: Establish a formal but agile salary pay structure that adjusts to scale and market pressure.
- Leading, scaling, and supporting a global Total Rewards function: Overseeing the continued development of an established team of compensation (4) and benefits professionals (5) to achieve their performance goals.
- Supporting Executive and Board of Directors in Total Rewards:Provide data and expert guidance for Compensation Committee meetings along with Braze’s CPO and CFO to drive annual recommendations for executive compensation, equity programs, and other analyses as requested by the Committee;
- Reviewing and advising on equitable & compliant global pay & benefits practices: Oversee regular audits and reviews of current programs and practices, developing recommendations and action plans to ensure compensation, benefits plans, and equity globally comply with laws and regulationsand that employee compensation is equitable and competitive to the market.
By the end of year 1, you will have developed a published total rewards philosophy, established a formal pay structure that is utilized for pay transparency and compensation planning, and achieved an increase in employee satisfaction scores in both benefits and compensation in our bi-annual employee engagement survey.
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $240,000 and $290,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $300,000 and $340,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
